Kick Off Event: Virtual Cocktail & Mocktail Making Class with Rebecca Pinnel

Join Rebecca Pinnell as she teaches a virtual cocktail & mocktail class aimed to help you create cocktails in your home with depth and balance. Added below is a “shopping” list detailing ingredients and tools that you can gather to have out on the counter and ready for the start of class. We will be making the cocktails step by step, at the same time together. 

This virtual class has been designed to be engaging, entertaining, and full of tips on how to continue to make delicious cocktails in your home.  

For this class we will be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with cocktails coming from Mexico and Guatemala.   There is a popular hotel in Guatemala called Casa Palopo where they serve a house cocktail named Rosa Palopo which features Zacapa 23 rum, made in Guatemala. We will craft a cocktail inspired by the Rosa Palopo which features hibiscus tea, lime and watermelon. Prepare hibiscus or passion fruit tea and cut fruit into small cubes before class.   From Mexico, we have the margarita. Rebecca will guide us on how to make an easy flavored version using jelly or jam! Also added to this margarita will be fresh cucumber, a pinch of salt and your choice of orange juice or orange liqueur (we will only use 1 tbsp per one cocktail). If you enjoy spicy cocktails, bring a fresh serrano or jalapeño to the party.
