At Society of Women Engineers Santa Clara Valley (SWE-SCV) our work is important to us. We envision a world with gender parity and equality in engineering and technology fields. SWE's mission is to promote and assist with the recruitment, retention, and employment of women in engineering. We seek to stimulate women to achieve their full potential in careers as engineers.

We also aim to expand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life, all while demonstrating the value of diversity.

Supporting SWE SCV

The Society of Women Engineers was founded in 1950 with the ultimate goal of increasing the pipeline of women entering engineering and technological profession. Even as we fast forward nearly 70 years into the future, the under representation of women in STEM fields continues.

Our organization is actively trying to create solutions and solve the problems that the engineering community is facing. However, our efforts to solve the lack of women in engineering and technology won't reach its maximum effectiveness unless we have the backing of the community.

We are asking for your help and support. SWE SCV is a recognized 501c non-profit and 100% volunteer run. All of our events are funded through corporate sponsorship and individual donations. Without the generosity and support of our sponsors, we would not be able to hold successful events year after year. More importantly, having the support of our community helps us come one step closer to solving the ultimate problem.

DONATIONS IN KIND

In addition to monetary contributions, our organization is always looking for various other donations. Here are examples of non-monetary donations:

Facility use for our meetings and membership events
Small corporate-branded goodies (i.e. pens, t-shirts, key chains, etc.)
Your company’s consumer product to be used as raffle prizes
Food/refreshments for our membership events
Discounts on your company’s consumer product (i.e. restaurants, catering services, speakers, etc.)
